Singapore Mathematical Olympiad (SMO)

Introduction

The Singapore Mathematical Society (SMS) has been organizing annual national mathematical competitions since the 1950’s. The competitions had been renamed several times over the years. The current name, the Singapore Mathematical Olympiad (SMO), was adopted since 2001. The objective of these competitions is to test the ingenuity and mathematical problem-solving ability of the participants and to discover and encourage mathematical talents in secondary schools, high schools, and junior colleges in Singapore.
